Taking Part in Your Child's Music Lessons

At WePlay Music, we’ve had one of our most challenging years. While there has been so much change in how we learn, communicate, play and perform one thing has remained the same. That is the importance of practice. In 2020, we had to learn how to adapt and bring out the best in each other. Our biggest lesson yet has been through watching parents become more involved in their child’s virtual music lessons.

Helps your child remain FOCUSED

For parents who become more involved in their child’s practice routine at home, this can help your child remain focused when their teachers are not present. When a parent shows they have invested in the success of their child, the child often rises up to the occasion and surpasses expectations. Being actively involved not only in your child's lesson, but in their practice time is highly beneficial to you and them.

Improves COMMUNICATION between you and your child

Being a part of your child's lesson can also improve the communication between your child and yourself. It can also create a nice bonding experience where you can enjoy each other's company. You will learn how your child is developing over time outside of class and be able to help keep them accountable by ensuring they practice at home.

YOU make a POSITIVE impact in their life

The positive impact parents can have on actively participating in your child’s lesson or practice is extremely beneficial. We’ve seen this across not just the parent and child, but the overall relationship you have between yourself and your child.

We know that learning through Zoom has its challenges, but at WePlay Music Online, our teachers have been committed to helping bridge this gap as much as possible. We cannot wait to watch our wonderful students continue to grow and flourish. We’ve seen the benefit of watching parents become actively involved in both the classes and at-home practice and strongly encourage all parents to get involved in any way they can.
